Effective date: July 4, 2026
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how Southern Hill Spices ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares consumer health data of Washington consumers, as defined by the Washington My Health My Data Act, and the rights you have over that data.
Consumer health data we collect
- Prescription information — a certified practitioner's prescription that you provide when ordering Ayurvedic medicines, including the practitioner's details and the items prescribed.
- Health-related order information — the fact that you purchased or inquired about Ayurvedic medicines or consultations, and any health information you choose to include in a consultation request or message to us.
We do not collect biometric data, precise location data, or health data inferred from other sources, and we do not use geofencing.
Why we collect it
We collect consumer health data only to: verify a valid prescription before dispatching Ayurvedic medicines; fulfil, ship and support the order or consultation you requested; and meet legal and record-keeping obligations. We collect it directly from you, with your consent or as necessary to provide the product or service you have requested, and we do not collect more than is needed for those purposes.
Sources of consumer health data
Directly from you — through order forms, the contact form, email or phone. We do not buy or otherwise obtain consumer health data from third parties.
How we share it
We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only as necessary to provide what you requested, with:
- Fulfilment and dispensary partners — our operations team in Kerala, India, who verify prescriptions and prepare orders;
- Shipping carriers — who receive delivery details (not prescription contents);
- Consulting practitioners — the certified Ayurvedic physician involved in your consultation, where you request one.
We have no affiliates with whom consumer health data is shared. Any sharing beyond the above would occur only with your separate, prior consent, and any sale of consumer health data would occur only with your signed authorization — neither of which we seek.
Your rights
As a Washington consumer you have the right to:
- Know and access — confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, access it, and receive a list of the third parties with whom it has been shared, with contact details;
- Withdraw consent — withdraw any consent you have given for collection or sharing;
- Delete — have your consumer health data deleted, including from archives and backups.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
